What should the subject line of my application include?

As well as the word ‘Application’, the one-liner should include the exact job title from the advert and any reference number. The word ‘Subject’ at the start seems outdated. Details of where you saw the job advert should go in the so-called ‘reference line’. This is slightly smaller than the subject line and is located directly below it.
